Protect yourself and your intellectual property.

I received an email stating that a certain company wants to use my domain name for their

so-called company.

My first instinct was hell no, its mine. I did my research on many sites about choosing an

appropriate domain name and it took a while.

The doodling and name selections to relate to my content and what it means to me as a

blogger.

Its my signature, my brand, my hard work and effort put into it. I had to figure out how it

would apply to my readers and fellow bloggers.

I mean now. To receive an email like this was shocking as I am newish in the blogging and

hosting platform thinking OK, I did it and I’m safe.

To my surprise on the flip side of the coin, scummy scammers are crawling the web like shady dark nights try to destroy my reputation.

Thank goodness for instincts, and web browsing and google! Hooray!!!

I initially responded to the email by the ‘scummy scammer’ saying NO! to the use of my domain name. then I received a follow up email exactly as depicted on the WordPress link I’ve

attached. (this was before I found out they were scammers.).

I still couldn’t shake the feeling in my gut. I forwarded the email to my hosting support

service but couldn’t wait for their response.

Then it hit me, browse their contact details.

Copy paste…Well what do you know, surprise it’s a scam.

OH, how relieved I was jumping for joy!

Thank goodness, I did not give in and fall prey to their silly tricks.
